Leaf Pick-Up

The Village of Romeo Department of Public Works will begin leaf pickup during the week of October 16, 2023 and will continue until Wednesday, November 22, 2023.
Leaves will only be picked up curbside during this scheduled time.
General Guidelines:

Please rake your leaves to the edge of the curb starting the week of October 16, 2023.
Prior to this date, you may bag your leaves and put out for GFL to pick up.

Leaves should NOT, if at all possible, be raked into the street.
Sticks, branches, rocks, pumpkins, cornstalks, flower bed and garden debris as well as walnuts that fall from the trees, are NOT to be included within the leaf piles as this will damage the leaf machine. If any of this debris is found within your leaves, they will not be picked up; you will then be required to bag and put them out for PRIORITY WASTE.  PRIORITY WASTE will continue to pick up yard waste when placed in the proper recyclable paper bags until Friday, November 24, 2023. That will be their last yard waste pickup for the year.

You may burn your leaves throughout the months of October and November. Please contact the Romeo Bruce Fire Department for details and permit information at 586-752-2520.

The Department of Public Works will be working to help keep our streets clean throughout this time. Should you have questions, please contact the DPW at 586-752-2684.
